Eucharistic Rosary Procession to Abortion Clinic In New York City

Saturday | March 26 | NYC

Rescue those being led to death;
—Proverbs 24:11

Last Saturday, the day after the Feast of the Annunciation, I joined the Eucharistic Rosary Procession to Parkmed NYC from Holy Innocents Church — in connection with the 40 Days for Life prayer campaign. Mysteries of the Holy Rosary was prayed to and from the abortion mill as well as the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament was given at the clinic. Pray to end abortion.

Because God did not make death,
nor does he rejoice in the destruction of the living.
For he fashioned all things that they might have being,
—Wisdom 1:13-14
We have many wars happening all over the world, and now mainly the war between Russia and Ukraine. It still is an on going battle. It is tragic and many lives have been lost. But we cannot ignore the fact that people, especially the unborn are being killed by abortion than dying in war...

40 Days for Life can attest to this war of violence towards the unborn. They are an organization of 40-day campaign with a goal to end abortion locally through fasting and prayer, public outreach, and all-day vigil in front of abortion clinics.
The crisis of abortion is enormous. A tragedy of epidemic proportions, abortion is the leading cause of death in the world, taking an estimated 40 million lives every year.
There are actually more abortions every year. Tens of millions of abortions occur worldwide annually. This is a tragic war that has been happening for years, decades, centuries. The early church since the first century have written a teaching about this particular case — which is in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2271)
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.

(Didache 2,2:SCh 248,148; cf. Ep. Barnabae 19,5:PG 2 777; Ad Diognetum 5,6:PG 2,1173; Tertullian, Apol. 9:PL 1,319-320.)

Catechism of the Catholic Church on Abortion: (CCC 2270-2271) Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of the earth.
Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:
You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.
God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.

This is spiritual battle. The devil is at work and needed to be confronted and we must resist this evil act. And the rulers and leaders of this world have been influenced by the evil spirits to carry out these horrific crime against the unborn. This is what St Paul was talking about on his letter to the Ephesians. (Eph. 6:10-18)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

And so, we must follow this teaching and continue to confront evil and pray tirelessly. These voiceless defenseless unborn babies needed to be protected and we are the only one who can protect and save them through the grace of God. We are called and made for this as Pope Leo XIII stated:

"..christians are born for combat.."

If you are on the wrong side of this issue (pro-choice) especially as a christian, repent now, and have nothing to do with this horrific crime. It is a life and death situation for bodies and souls.

When we pray for peace, think of the unborn. Peace starts when the killing of defenseless unborn stops. I will end this with a profound quote by Mother Teresa:

“Abortion is the greatest threat to peace..”
